On 6 February 2026, Khalsa College, Durg organized an awareness program on the occasion of World Cancer Day to educate students about cancer, its causes, symptoms, prevention, and the importance of early detection. The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Sunita Bakde. Students of B.Ed. 2nd and 4th Semester delivered presentations on different aspects of cancer. Mrs. Abha Sharma highlighted the importance of a balanced diet, regular exercise, yoga, and avoiding tobacco and alcohol to reduce the risk of cancer, while Dr. Manisha Verma emphasized early diagnosis and timely treatment for better recovery. An interactive question-answer session was conducted at the end, followed by a vote of thanks by Program Coordinator Mrs. Lalita Pramar. The program concluded successfully with the active participation of students and faculty members.
