WORLD GIRLS DAY
Date 11/10/2023 On the occasion of World Girl Child Day, the Women’s Cell of Khalsa College organized an awareness campaign on the topic of girls’ health and cleanliness in Govt Girls College In which on girls day they are taught how to take care of their health and how to stay healthy and safe with the food available at home. And every student was informed about how to use and maintain their own hygiene and sanitary pads during menstruation. And children were told about good behavior and bad behavior and the program was successfully done.
Makar Sankranti festival was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm in Khalsa Mahavidyalaya on 16 January 2024. The festival was aimed at instilling cooperation, harmony and enthusiasm among the students. With the aim of establishing a plastic-free environment in the college, they were encouraged to use paper kites instead of polythene kites available in the market. The students attended the event after controlling their attendance at their homes. After the classes, the students reached the ground where they fed each other sesame laddus and maintained brotherhood. The students also appeared excited to be a part of the kite flying. Principal Dr. Sunita Bokde sent her best wishes for Makar Sankranti to the professors and students and urged them to always move forward towards heights like a kite and to always accept the difficulties coming in the way of success as challenges.
