Annual Sports Day
Khalsa Mahavidyalaya celebrated its annual sports day amidst great joy, enthusiasm and harmony. All the members of Khalsa Education Society were present as guests in the program. The sports competition was officially inaugurated by the guests by hoisting the flag and releasing a balloon in the air. Meanwhile, student Shubham Tiwari ran with a torch in his hand and instilled enthusiasm and passion in the players. The Principal of the college, Dr. Sunita Bokade, shared the achievements of the annual sports activities in the welcome speech. The interesting aspect of the inauguration of the sports festival was yoga dance and sports dance, which revived the activities of childhood. The guests addressed the students and congratulated Khalsa College for this event. Vice Chairman of Khalsa Education Society, Tarsen Singh Dhillon, while addressing the students, advised them to make sports a part of their life and make a path of success for themselves in every failure. At the closing ceremony of the sports festival, the winning students and team were given medals and letters of appreciation. A tug-of-war was organised for the teachers and non-teaching staff members and congratulations were sent to the winning team.
Makar Sankranti festival was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm in Khalsa Mahavidyalaya on 16 January 2024. The festival was aimed at instilling cooperation, harmony and enthusiasm among the students. With the aim of establishing a plastic-free environment in the college, they were encouraged to use paper kites instead of polythene kites available in the market. The students attended the event after controlling their attendance at their homes. After the classes, the students reached the ground where they fed each other sesame laddus and maintained brotherhood. The students also appeared excited to be a part of the kite flying. Principal Dr. Sunita Bokde sent her best wishes for Makar Sankranti to the professors and students and urged them to always move forward towards heights like a kite and to always accept the difficulties coming in the way of success as challenges.
