3 Days Workshop On Book Binding
A Three-Day Workshop was organized in Khalsa Mahavidyalaya , Durg from 27 February to 29 February 2024. In this, detailed information was given on book binding and important skills were trained with the aim of binding the required torn books and preserving them for a long time. Workshop in-charge Yogesh Kumar Dewangan introduced the trainer, after which 46 students attended the workshop and showed their interest in acquiring book binding skills. Mr. Sadaruddin Khan from S.K. Printer was present for training to develop book binding skills. Mohammad Khan first taught the students to identify the books required for book binding and to arrange all the pages of the book, after separating the pages of the book, to arrange all the pages by marking them. They were taught to sew each page with a needle and thread. On the second day, the students learned to put binding cloth on the stitched book. And on the third day, the students learned to finish the binding book.
Makar Sankranti festival was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm in Khalsa Mahavidyalaya on 16 January 2024. The festival was aimed at instilling cooperation, harmony and enthusiasm among the students. With the aim of establishing a plastic-free environment in the college, they were encouraged to use paper kites instead of polythene kites available in the market. The students attended the event after controlling their attendance at their homes. After the classes, the students reached the ground where they fed each other sesame laddus and maintained brotherhood. The students also appeared excited to be a part of the kite flying. Principal Dr. Sunita Bokde sent her best wishes for Makar Sankranti to the professors and students and urged them to always move forward towards heights like a kite and to always accept the difficulties coming in the way of success as challenges.
