In Khalsa Mahavidyalaya, Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary was celebrated as Parakram Diwas on 25 January 2024. A discussion was organized on the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter and youth icon Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. B.Ed 3rd semester student Ishwari Verma threw light on Netaji’s biography, student Tikesh shared the history of Netaji’s joining the revolutionary movement from civil service with everyone, student Mukt narrated the saga of Netaji’s sacrifice through poetry. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Sunita Bokde assured them to include Netaji’s qualities in their behavior.
Makar Sankranti festival was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm in Khalsa Mahavidyalaya on 16 January 2024. The festival was aimed at instilling cooperation, harmony and enthusiasm among the students. With the aim of establishing a plastic-free environment in the college, they were encouraged to use paper kites instead of polythene kites available in the market. The students attended the event after controlling their attendance at their homes. After the classes, the students reached the ground where they fed each other sesame laddus and maintained brotherhood. The students also appeared excited to be a part of the kite flying. Principal Dr. Sunita Bokde sent her best wishes for Makar Sankranti to the professors and students and urged them to always move forward towards heights like a kite and to always accept the difficulties coming in the way of success as challenges.
