A seminar was organized on the topic ‘Adverse Effects of Drugs: A Glance’ at Khalsa Mahavidyalaya today on 16 February 2024 as per the instructions of the Higher Education Department. Senior Lecturer of Khalsa Public School, Mr. Jayant Rawat was present as a guest speaker in the seminar, who made the students aware of the condition after getting caught in the grip of drug addiction and told through a story that the friends who used to sit together to consume drugs for fun, the same friends run away from talking when they reach the state of illness, hence one should always keep his company with a virtuous person so that we can stay away from bad habits along with misconduct. The Principal of the college, Dr. Sunita Bokde, while explaining the increasing side effects of drug addiction, presented the data of India and Chhattisgarh through PPT and highlighted the side effects of the drug system and assured the youth that if any student of the college has any such problem or information related to the map, then he can contact without hesitation, keeping the personal information of such student confidential, they will be provided necessary counseling and support.
